Just wondering how many of you are using the prelit tree? My tree was ancient so we discarded it and bought a 7 1/2 ft. prelit one. I love it.

I was afraid to buy one because what if a bunch of bulbs go bad or you want to change what color lights you use? I think they look really nice. I'm currently fighting with my lights...how I got only 2 strands on my tree the past 3-4 years is beyond me at the moment!

The tree I have stays lit if a bulb burns out. Of course, I got the clear lights and so there is no choice about changing them. It wore me out so bad every year to put lights on the tree. I hope this one will last a long time.

Me too..and it`s the 3rd year for it...trust me, even if it should die this year, it`s worth the $ and all the hours i have NOT had to spend fighting with getting lights to work and then stringing and restringing them on the tree to get them just "so". When it does die I will reuse the greenery from branchs elsewhere and buy a new tree,
You really can get great deals on them right after Christmas, so it might not even be a bad idea to have an extra one on hand if you have the place to store it.

I think they're a great idea otherwise! I hate putting on lights! I guess you could get a bunch of different colored ones and alternate evey year!

One of my co-workers just bought a small cheap tree this year (she just got a divorce). She was just telling me that she is going to buy a big one right after Christmas.

I've been considering getting a small prelit tree with white lights, but, as much as Serenity would enjoy it, haven't decided yet whether or not to have a tree this year.

We got a fabulous deal on a pre-lit tree on Black Friday. 7 1/2 ft. with 450 white AND 400 multi-colored lights, and it has a remote control. It's a full tree, easy to put up and put together, and already it's totally worth the $100 - especially compared with the other trees we looked at for twice that! I did put a couple of strands of twinkle lights on it, just because I like the movement in the tree. I'm totally sold already and I've had it up for less than a week!

I had a little 3 foot one for my old apartment. I loved it, but now tat I'm home I can't put it out. It was the first tree my fiance decorated together.

Last year I bought a prelit 7 and a half foot tree with 600 colored lights and 600 clear lights. It has a remote control and you can either turn on clear or colored or both. Its beautiful with both on. I really like it.

Where in the world did you find a tree with both clear and colored lights? I looked everywhere in our small town and never saw anything like that. Lowe's had some pretty ones, but they were either clear or colored. Also, they were in the $200 range, which is more than I wanted to invest. I found my tree with 600 clear lights at the local Ace Hardware Store reduced from $149 to $99. I thought I got a deal.

I got it at QVC, I think it was about $150.00. They have them this year too, I saw them a while back.

I got mine with both clear and multi-colored lights at Linens N Things, but it looks like that was a Black Friday only thing. They don't have them listed on their website anymore.

my parents have a prelit tree, it's great, and easy to put up, no worries about positioning of lights or anything. Just make sure you don't have flashing bulbs on the tree, it drives the cats crazy!
