Last night was cold and both cats (one at a time) crawled under the covers with me. First, let me explain that I only allow them on the outside edge of the bed, making sure that the covers are loose or open enough for them to breathe comfortably.

Anyways, I thought it was funny how different they are. Oliver curls up next to me like most cats would. Tripod dives under the covers face first and lies straight against me.
I had to move him so that he wasn't so deep under the covers and he let me reposition him as long as he was still touching me.

I love how they cuddle. Do your cats do this?

Bobby will lie right next to my face with his paw on my hand like he's holding hands with me (very cute) and Bumble lies on my feet. It's so lovely when they sleep with me but it's not very often as they love to go out at night.

Most definitely! When the weather starts getting colder my cat will jump onto the bed and "ask" to get under the covers with us. She'll just cuddle up against my husband or myself or just lie by our feets. She'll also knead and drool on us! It's wonderful to be loved by my kitty!

Hope loves being under the covers in her "cave." She will actually come to the edge and start digging at the covers and will attempt to get under them on her own but we always make it appealing by making the cave for her. Sometimes she'll sleep under there on her own. She started this behavior as young as 5 weeks and its continued to this day!

My cats are cave kitties. When I'm watching TV under a blanket, they're always under it, and when I read in bed, on my back with my knees bent, they're always snuggled under my knees.

Mouse was my bed cuddler - part of why i still miss her so much
Pixel usually sleeps on the bed, but not touching me. Java has recently decided she like sleeping between my legs, which only is a problem when i need to move
Cable is almost never on the bed - when she is, she's snuggling with Pixel, not me!

Seamus will come up to me in the middle of the night and head butt me to get under the covers. Usually he'll crawl down to the foot of the bed to sleep. Sometimes, he'll curl up by my side, but I'm a toss-and-turner and I think that annoys him. That's why he ends up at the foot of the bed. Gator sleeps between our pillows

I used to have a Siamese that always slept on the bed and when he wanted to get under the covers he would stick his paw in your mouth! Somehow it always worked.

Orion is about the only cat that will come under the covers with me. and lays on my legs.
My old cat, Manny, may he now rest in peace, would climb under them during the night.. and sometimes attack my toes. But mostly he just wanted under the blankets where it was warm.

Brrrrrr it was cold in Kansas last night too! I actually had ALL THREE kitties on the bed with me -- they will almost never be all there at the same time because they fight over who gets "the honor" of sleeping close to me. LOL (Heck, at least SOMEBODY wants to sleep with me. LMAO)

I bought a new pair of flannel pajama pants, and they were little clinging vines! LOL They've let me know they prefer flannel to my summer cotton pajamas now that it's getting colder.

Oliver doesnt get under the covers because he's a tv junkie like his mommy and has to watch our shows with me at night as we do crosswords/fall asleep (thank God for sleep timers on tvs! haha)... but he does curl up either at my belly or he lays with his upper half on one of my pillows next to my head and usually paws my face in the morning... he's such a heat machine/purr-er that I'm still flippin the AC on at night and wakin up sweaty in the morning!!! Haha, wish I could lend him out to you guys, but then I wouldnt be able to sleep! Would rather be sweaty and sleepin with a kitty than cold and alone, lol

Jamie is very much a "lump in the bed", whether we're in it or not. When it's really cold he likes to lie on top of me under the covers.

Peter's my little under the covers cuddle buddy. When it's cold he comes and scratches at the blankets so I'll let him underneath, then he curls up as close as he can get.

My babies don't like to get under the covers, though if they're very sleepy, they'll sometimes let me tuck the blanket up around them a bit. What they want is ME, sans blanket -- either a leg they can wrap around, or a middle they can curl up against.

My Clyde is generally very refined, even in his manner of showing affection. He will begin the night by carefully positioning himself with his behind tucked in against my middle, but as he falls deeper and deeper asleep, he begins to squirm and sprawl... and pretty soon, he's plastered full length against me, forepaws on my chest and tail tickling my knees. If he wakes up in this position and sees me watching him, I swear I can actually see him blush! His eyes go wide, and he quickly gathers his dignity and respositions himself at the edge of the bed. :-)

Clio, our Siamese, paws at the covers, we lift them up (for what seems like forever) while she decides whether to go in or not. She heads down to the middle of the bed.
Sam goes under the covers, but has to come back to where at least his head is out. So he just goes half way, I guess because he is half Siamese.

My little Siamese, Susie, always pawed at the covers for me to let her in and then she curled up into my tummy and slept that way always. When she was a little kitten I worried that I would crush her, but fortunately I don't move very much in my sleep.

Bijou lays beside me with his head on my pillow facing me and I cover him up to just under his front paws. Sometimes he'll curl his face into mine and I have a hard time breathing.
