hey Gentlecats and Womcats

, kittens and all the users, you probably figured out im a new member on this site, as this is my first post, well hopefully im welcomed in just like any other user, and hope i end up being a member of the Catsite familia... so greetings all,

okay guys, ive a question, this might sound silly to lots of cat breeders and all, but ive had Snowbelle for sometime. infact i wont tell you belle's age as i want most of you to guess it, but what i fail to achieve is her breed, could she be a Turkish Angora with a little mix of Persian?

i bought her from a breeder, he mentioned she had persian in her, but what do they know here, and ive fallen inlove with Belle, i dont know who wouldn't, so that's why im curious to know more about cats for future reference and her especially, so i'll repeat

1- Can you guess Belle's age?

2- What breed is she, or could she be a mix?

3- Why does she keep on suckin on her nipples? she loves it the most and keeps on doing it, even when i try to stop her, or is it okay to leave her do it?

She's gorgeous! I would guess that she is under a year old(from her size), although some white cats tend to be smaller. Twitch didn't actually "get big" until she was two years old. I don't know what to tell you for a breed. Twitch is just a DSH. I have been reading up on genetics of white cats(esp. blue eyed ones & deafness) & have reading something about Oriental Shorthairs being in the bloodlines. Since you got her from a breeder, I don't know what breed she is. Twitch wasn't purposefully bred. Is she spayed? That might make a difference. Otherwise, I don't know about the sucking.

Here's Twitch(Sorry, but I couldn't resist posting a pic of her) at 2 years of age. She grew lengthwise before she got thicker.

My Aristotle is half Angora, so I'd be inclined to say your darling has angora in her. Whatever, she is beautiful and you are a lucky Purrpaw (daddy)!

yeah thats what i thought too, that she might have Angora in her, well definitly, i mean what could she possibly be, i mean for a white cat, how many breeds are there, as for spaying her, i wouldn't know, call me naive or ignorant bout cats, but all i knew from the breeder was that she was trained, which she is somewhat, even tho she doesnt listen when i call for her, ive heard lots about them havin the chance of being deaf, but again sometimes when i make a noise i see her lookin at me, so im sure she hears pretty well, but shes just stubborn and doesnt want to listen, maybe its the "maybe" persian in her, where persian cats used to be treated as a queen back in the days lol

1- Is this cat pure bred or mixed?
2- and definitly not a short or long haired cat, but whatever it is, would her hair grow longer?

i need an expect on this

Sometimes it is just too difficult to tell if they are a purebreed. Do you still have the breeder's phone number? Maybe he can help you. She does not look like a Persian but maybe has a little in her. Here is a website about the different breeds of cats http://www.cfainc.org/breeds/profiles. Maybe that will help. Being "spayed" means she cannot have babies. Your vet should be able to tell that .

I would say at her age, that her fur probably will not get any longer .

thanks girl, shes 4 months old now, thats what i just found out, as for the bred, he didn't know, i guess belle was given to him to sell it for someone, and i happened to be the purchaser, but he didnt know the bred of the cat, all he knew was that she was 4 months old, and the whole suckin on nipples thing, he suggested it could be due to being taken away from her mom at a very young age

I would`nt have known the breed...and my guess would have been 6 mo or under.....so I have`nt told you anything you don`t know....but I wanted to say that she is really beautiful...and I LOVE those amber eyes! What a beauty!

okay these eyes are amazing, i fully agree, there colour is rare too, hence i haven't seen em anywhere, but i haven't paid much attention to them, now i do cause i felt i was missin out on something, since lots of you compliment belle's eyes, and i second you all, her eyes are outstandingly beautiful, infact now shes just staring at me with those beautiful eyes, and im sure shes wondering what the hell im doingon the computer instead of laying beside her to pet her, i feel bad lol,
btw, some of you got me curious to knowin where do Amber eyes originate from, you guys have any info on this?

Amber eyes could be from some of that Persian blood you thought she might have.
