have a question I
have a cat that will not go out of my room and we have a new puppy and when he
sees the puppy he hisses at the puppy and then the cat watch both ways to make
sure the puppy is not around and now my cat will not go out of my room.
my cat name is angel.

Nick doesn't mind the puppy but he gets away from the puppy because bugs him so much.

Hi there!
new puppies can be fun for us, but other pets think of them as a threat , sort of. I have a 2 year old Rottweiler before i got Prue. Piper ( rottie) is about 150 lbs, and Prue was less then a lb when i brought her home. Piper took one look at her and headed for the hills. I had to bring them together, and me and my husband had to sit and pet them both ( and give treats) to get them to realise that they could be friends. It took a while, but they are ok with each other now. it will take some time, but they will get used to each other Good Luck

You need to keep them apart until the puppy has gone through basic obedience courses. Tell your parents that it would be a good idea to enroll in a puppy socialization class first, and then into basic obedience. Until then, let the two of them just be apart.
