You probably wouldn't want anyone to see you like that, and it would probably have a major effect on your mental health.
Of course the recipient would have to be mentally and emotionally fit for the transplant, but as long as they are then I think it's a great thing. It may give someone a new lease on life, same as any other transplant.

This is pretty much along the lines of what I was going to say....

I don't know how true it was, but I read a while back that she and her husband had been fighting, and the dog was upset about that.
I think she looks terrific. One of the news channels here showed "before" photos, and that poor woman had almost nothing of a lower face.

I heard her say yesterday that she woke up and went to light a cigerette and saw blood on the cigerette...then thats when she saw the dog with some skin and looked in the mirror.

Personally, myself, with as much emphasis that society puts on looks, I'm 100% skin transplants for this type of reason. I wouldn't support it for strictly cosmetic, as in "I want to look like Angelina Jolie" but for the people that are well, missing skin.
Besides if we can donate hearts and kidneys and such to save a life, why can't we donate skin too?
