A lot lately, I will be thinking about something and then go and talk about it and then it actually comes up later that day, or the next day.

For example, yesterday, I was thinking about all the atrocities people did to each other in the world and I talked about Hiroshima to my father, about how the children felt as I read a book called "Children of Hiroshima" which is an anthology of what children experienced from their own eyes, and then today, I come home from sports day at Gabe's school and there was a programme on tv about Hiroshima through the eyes of the victims.

Another example, my brother and son were playing outside and I told my brother that he might need to come inside soon, it might rain and as soon as those words came out of my mouth, it started raining. He got frustrated saying that every time I say something, it happens.

Oh yeah, I had a thought about a young girl (that I don't know) and so I asked my mother who she was, and it turned out she was a young murder victim, murdered by her stepfather here in NZ, and then 5 mins later, Dad brings in the newspaper and she is on the front page of the paper with an article saying that the sister of the stepfather is also charged with murdering her boyfriend.

I don't know why but when I think about something, I will see something about it later that day or the next day. Does anyone else have this experience??? It has been bugging me the last few days!

That happens to me a lot too. Sometimes I'm scared to say things because I don't want to make them happen! But then sometimes I just think the things and they happen too!

Exactly! Thats just how I feel. I feel like I should not talk about it!

That sort of happens to me, but it's never been anything bad. For example: I will think of a song before it comes on the radio, or think of someone before they call. Several years ago, I picked up the phone before it rang and said hello, and my friend was like: "hello? It didn't even ring." I don't even know why I did it, I just saw it and had an urge to answer it. One time I was watching one of those numbered ball lottos on TV being drawn, and I guessed the number on every ball before it popped up. I used to be really good at "what number am I thinking of?" but now I try too hard and it messed me all up. I could go for at least 30 minutes w/o being wrong or until it started freaking people out and broke my concentration, or I started getting excited and broke it. The only time I can really do it now is when I'm tired and don't over-think.

That's pretty freaky! It sounds as though you're really touch with "something else" eh!

Bumps in the night and now these - pretty freaky!

I've always been good at guessing the song though - and when I'm having a message with somebody online or txting I can always sense when they are about to leave - without the message leading up to a "Goodbye" or whatever. I just get this feeling.

BTW have I told you I'm going to Ross on the 17th and 18th of December. Have you been there before?

Where's Ross? LOL Oh dad told me that Ross is on the west coast - we probably have driven through at some point because we have a house there. We will be going to the west coast to Punakaikai to show Jake those rocks. But not sure when, sometime over the holidays. I sure hope that the weather warms up soon! Grrr!

Enjoy your time on the coast Sam. It's a really beautiful area of the country, and one of the most spectacular drives if you go up north a bit to Karamea.
Hey, Kelly, do you think you could start talking about ME winning the lottery? Maybe it'll work if you're talking/thinking about someone else!

Okay, Pushylady and Jilly, you are going to win the lottery, but you have to buy a ticket first!

I always wondered about Deja Vu - my aunt thinks its a form of a seizure. I don't know about that. I don't know anything about it but if everyone gets it, then whats up with that?

I have spent my whole life getting a funny feeling that what I've just said is exactly what the person I was talking to was thinking or about to say - word for word. I've had it confirmed many times, and it drives my dh crazy! He tells me to get out of his head. Thing is, as often as it happens, I have no idea when what I'm about to say for sure is this kind of situation...sometimes I get the feeling and know, but not always.

I also used to annoy the heck out of one resident by telling him a patient's dilation before he finished the exam (and I was usually right).

Tee hee!

Last week I was doing a lot of work on a spreadsheet and the thought crossed my mind about how awful it would be if there was a power cut and I lost everything before I had a chance to save it. Next day, we had the first power cut this area has had in over 5 years

Probably just coincidence though!

The other night Max and I were talking about Mark Wahlberg and I was saying how great he was in Boogie Nights. Then we put the telly on and were flicking around the movie channels on Foxtel to see if anything was on....and there was Boogie Nights!!!

Under the cats, mostly.
Kelleye I get that quite a lot - if I think about a song, it turns up on the radio or the TV.

Deja vu is something to do with the procees of the brain receiving the information from your eyes. If I remember rightly it's when the info from one eye gets to your brain just a split second faster than the info form the other eye, and that give you that "I've been here before" feeling. I don't recall why it happens though.... i did have it explained to me once

If I ever win the lottery, you think you could tell me WHAT numbers I need?
