What do you all think?? I've also redone my kitchen. I'll post some pictures here when I get home because I don't have them on photobucket yet.

I am going to be honest, i would have just left it the way it was before...

the colour is too dark, if i had that in any of my rooms id turn agressive and dull

But thats just me!

I love it!

Did you swing the couch around so it cuts across the room? I really like that effect, making a little separate seating area against the back wall, and making the rest of the room more intimate for conversation.

I love the colour as well, I am into really saturated colours. It's pretty effective as a feature wall.

Lovely, just lovely! I really like that color. Great choice. And you even used that accent color throughout in accessories, so it flows. It works. I love the couch, too! Great job. It must feel soooooo good to have it done now, huh?

It feels great. It took me a long time to finally make the plunge and paint the accent wall so dark. I really like it though.
Its very warm.

Hey I'm glad to hear other peoples opinions.
I can understand frans reasoning too.

I like the warm colors... however, if the ENTIRE room was that dark I'd probably go a little nutters.

Yes, I would imagine it would feel warm. Personally, I do like colors like that. Deep, warm colors. But it just wouldn't fit very well in our house in particular, but in a room like yours, it does look very nice!
And, whoa...you did the kitchen , too?!
Wow...I'm not sure if you did it both at once or one after the other, but if I tried doing 2 rooms almost at the same time I think I'd go a little CUCKOO!!
Kudos to you, and anybody who helped I guess, but still, great job!

Also, I do like the kitchen. Or what little you let us see of it...heheh. Can we have another picture, please? I can see it's in, umm, the modern-ish warm cozy country style, right?...

I like the way the living room looked before.

Ooh I
the curtains! And the table right by the window, with the light filtering through the curtains beautifully. The mirror was a good idea, too, otherwise that wall would've been blank. It does add dimension.
