We had some shots yesterday. One for rabbies and the other one for a whole bunch of things (i don't remember exactly but some ..tranchitis, .. liver). Yesterday we came home after the shots and they had dinner and they were jumping around and playing (we were putting the xmas tree up). During the night i woke up and Nafanya wasn't in bed with us. My hubby went and got her. We were a little concerned because she always sleeps with us. In the morning she was in the living room so I took her in bed. My hubby was making breakfast for them and usually she's in the kitchen when the food is prepared, but she was in bed. I felt her nose it was dry. I tried playing with her but she wouldn't get up. Before breakfast Kuzya threw up. But he did have breakfast and ate everything on his plate. We brought her into the kitchen for breakfast but she wouldn't eat!!!!!!! (That freaked us out, because she never did that). Then as she was walking away from the kitchen, I noticed that she was limping. I thought that I rolled over her in bed and hurt her foot. Then I noticed that Kuzya was also limping on the same leg (the one where the shot for various things was made). I called the vet and he said that itâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s from the needle. He said to massage their legs and go to work. Iâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]m at work but I cannot concentrate. Did anyone had this happened? Could it be the shots? The vet said they it will pass by tommorow, is that true? Thanks

Could be a reaction to the shots, some cats are sensitive to them. One of my cats got a penicillian shot yesterday. When he got home I put my hand on his rump to pick him up and he snarled at me. Cleo has NEVER snarled. He is better this morning in his rump area though.

I would just let your cats rest and if they aren't better by tomorrow take them in.

I agree - temporary soreness and generally feeling unwell (flu-like symptoms) are fairly normal after vaccines. Make sure she eats something (give her whatever food is her favorite) and expect her to be better by tomorrow. If she is not, then take her to the vet.

I tried giving her her favorite food but it didn't work. She's so sad. I can't stop thinking about them. I'm running home for lunch to check up on them. I will update you after lunch. Thanks.

I would say it was from the shot also. When children/babies have shots, they don't feel well for a few days and do NOT want to use the arm/leg that the ingection was given.Dr.s say to gently massage it and make them use the arm/leg.

Thank you so much. I feel much much better. I'll run and massage their legs on my break. My mom said the same thing about the kids not feeling well after shots. I even remember getting shots and not being able to sit for a while. I hope they feel better soon.
