Ebay has a lot of great deals. You can get a huge tree for under $100 with shipping. My next tree will be from there (or from the cat show coming New Years Eve). Sometimes local vendors make trees for the shows.

I think PetCo has better trees than Petsmart so you might try there too. The price will be about the same though.

You know, I've been to the new PetCo already a few times and didn't even look at them..

Thanks!

there are a lot of them here: http://www.catsplay.com/kitty_gyms.php3
I really love some of them. I think the best thing to do is have a local carpenter make one to your specifications. That way it's exactly what you want, and it will be cheaper than buying one. Plus you can tell them what materials to use and how to do it so that it's safe, so you don't have to worry about it.

I like the ones that have an inside area to play in like the Purrfect Penthouse. I may be getting that one soon.

Also, I really like these trees. I plan on getting one of those after the penthouse! Or maybe just get one of those instead. I don't know yet. I love the way they look, and they have a lot of room inside for playing and outside surface area for climbing.

$625 for a cat tree ?????? Sorry, but that is a bit much for 4 pieces of wood with carpet wrapped round ? I had a look at the trees at Petsmart, and to be honest, they were all wobbly and some came apart when I touched them, so I decided I make my own. It's only Wood Sisal and Carpet. They don't look complicated to make at all. My cat loves to climb, so he is quite desperate for one. He does go out in the garden to climb trees, but this time of year, they are all wet and he hates water, it's funny to see him complaining to the trees when he gets water droplets on him :-)))

We got our best and quality trees (for very reasonable price too) at local cat shows. Sometimes you will find local vendors selling good quality trees at nice prices. I've seen trees that would sell in Petsmart for $200 at "show prices" of $150 or less.

i've got a $50 CAD one from wal-mart.
it's 7 feet tall and has 3 levels.. floor to ceiling post
It is secure to the ceiling using a spring bar on top, so itâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s really quite safe.
Itâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s basically the same as this one from petsmart except the top level is just a piece of board instead of a tray.

I believe the reason that the wal-mart one is so much cheaper is because of the material. When I went to petsmart, those post were made of wood. For the wal-mart one, except the baseboard and the 3 levels, the post itself is actually made out of cardboard paper (wrapped with carpet of cuz).

I saw all those good deals on ebay, while shipping it to buffalo only cost around $30, shipping it to toronto cost $90US!!! Haha I wish I know someone living in buffalo so I could have it shipped there and pick it up.

My friend told me that you could get some really good deals at catshows. She got a 7 feet one made of wood (not convered in carpet) for only $140 CAD.
