Well I took my kitty to see the specialist today and they wanted to keep her for a few days to give her blood and run tests. THey said she will be lucky if she makes it through the night. So on my way home, I get a call from them asking me to come back and I asked why, but they didn't want to tell me over the phone.

So I went back, the doc came in and he said I am sorry but she passed. They were giving her some blood and she threw it up and then her heart stopped

They are going to do an autopsy to see what really happened. I should know that in a few weeks.

I am having her cremated. I order a black kitty urn(since she was a black persian) with her name on it, her bday, and her death)

This thread will tell you all about her and why she was sick:

I have been crying all afternoon

I am so very sorry for your loss. She is no longer suffering. You and she were blessed to have had the time together that you did.

I'm so sorry you lost her. I read your thread about her illness. I lost a Persian cat to liver disease a couple of years ago. I took him to the vet because he stopped eating, and because he had gotten so thin. I thought maybe he was just unhappy because I had gotten Simba at the time, but the vet looked at him and saw that he was jaundiced (yellow) everywhere, including the white part of his eyes. He told me at the time that he didn't think he would make it, but I left him there for the night for tests and re-hydrating. The next morning the vet called me and told me Stanley that was his name, was not responding to anything not even the re-hydrating, and said the only humane thing I could do was put him to sleep, rather than let him suffer until he died. So, I did what the Vet said. I was in total shock, because I didn't even see any problems with Stanley until the weekend, and on Monday he was gone. He was only 3 years old, and yes, it was liver disease.

That is so touching you are getting her an urn, with her name and everything. I can tell you really cared about her. Sounds like she must've been very sweet; she is a beautiful cat, too. She had a great life, with you taking care of her, I'm sure! Time for her, and you--for the both of you to try your best to move on now. Moving on is very hard, but it doesn't mean you move further away from each other. You will always have sweet memories of Molly in your heat, locked in tight.

To Molly

Condolences on your sad loss of Molly. How are Vegas, Abby & Freddy taking it? I am sorry that she had to pass during the holiday season. The urn is such a loving gesture - a beautiful tribute to an incredibly beautiful cat. She seemed to have silver tones in her underfur - my sister's Persian was black & white & had the same silver undertones in the black fur. In fact my sister's Persian, Rebecca, went over RB early this fall & I am sure that she will be there to greet Molly.
Prayers, hugs & vibes for the rest of you who are coping with this loss.

I am so, so sorry for your loss. I lost a 1 1/2 year old once-in-a-lifetime cat about 3 weeks ago to cardiomyopathy.
R.I.P., lovely Molly.
