Hello all!
I found this site a few nights ago and have been reading away. I love it. So I decided to join. (no other forum I found out there even compared!)
I have two kitties, this is the first time ever I have owned a cat. My BF though is a professional cat lover and is teaching me all that he knows. We have a great little family.
Any who. Polly, she is the first kitty we got, is a Short Haired, Blue Tabby, Polydactyl. Seven toes on the front feet and 6 toes on the back. She is only about 6 months old. We adopted her from the city shelter back in July. She is wonderful.
My dear BF brought home a stray kitten just last week he had seen hanging around the shop for a few days. THAT is a whole nother story all together. It has been a rough round of cleaning up after a sick kitty. The vet said it was just stress, but that information alone did not make picking up the piles of vomit and diarrhea any easier! I will have more stories about her in the stray section come tomorrow. She is a creamish/orange and white cat. SOOO cute. Still having diarrhea, but at least she can make it to the litter box now, and things seem to be stiffening up. We would like to keep her, but we want to make sure she hasn't a family that loves her somewhere. We posted many signs and still no word. She is so small and loving, i would hate to think someone dumped her. It appears she has been fixed as well. I plan on taking her to the vet sometime this week to see if she has a microchip. I can't feel one.
We haven't named her yet. If we can't find her true owners by next weekend, we will end up keeping her. i hope. She is so dear, plus her and Polly really realllllly like each other.
SO, there you have it in a very small nutshell. My life with kitties. I can't imagine it without them. And to think I am extreemly allergic!
I look forward to getting to know you all!
Kristin
