Hi again,

My other question is about the following : Is it a good solution to have the cat fostered in a cat pension while on holiday? It is difficult for me to have someone come here to feed her when I will go on vacation, for many reasons. If I put the cat in a pension for that time, will she have trouble adapting, especially one day when she is old?

Thank you in advance for your reply,
Nathalie

My apartment complex was spraying for bugs so I had to keep my cats out of the house for the day. I boarded them with the vet and stressed out the whole time. When I went to pick them up, the receptionist told me they had just slept the whole day. But they sure were happy to see me and go home.

Haha, pension (pronounced "pen-see-own" - at least in German anyhow, lol) is another word for something like an inn or hotel - I stayed in many a pension in Europe, although I've never heard of animal boarding places refered to as such! haha

better for the cat is to stay in his home and hire someone to come to your home to care for him. You should have plenty of catsitters to choose from

Well then, somebody is just going to have to invent a retirement plan for cats.

Because after many years of working so hard at being a cat, I'm sure my kitties would appreciate the chance to take it easy in their golden years.
