I have 2 cats, both came from the RSPCA.
Nelix is 3 years old and Thomas is about 5 years old. We've only had Thomas since April 2005. We got him after our other cat, Bridget (also from the RSPCA) was hit by a car on Easter Saturday this year. She was 13 years old and we'd had her for 11 years!! We were gutted when she died.
Anyway, while we had Bridget, we also had Nelix who we have had for almost 3 years since he was a kitten. We didn't want Nelix to get lonely after Bridget died so we got Thomas. Thomas is a black cat.
They get on OK. They're not the best of buddies but they tolerate each other.
