Hi, i am nbew here and it seems that I am just like all the other new users, trying to figure out what kind of cat ive got. I actually have two questions:
1) I have a beautiful very affectionate with me but incredibly shy blue cat. Her fur is is very thick and fluffy but long in some places. She had a litter of kittens and they were f-black long hair, m-black long hair, f-blue very short hair and m-long hair. She and the grey kittens seem to have the facial features of russian blues but the female kitten I would swear is one. Is it possible that my cat is a russian ble cross and if so could her kitten be a russian blue?

20 I adopted a male long hair kitten last year with the oddest makings i'd ever seen...he looked like a wolf with a very fluffy grey hood and body. Sadly he got outside when I moved and we couldn't find him, then last month I was looking in at the kittens in a pet store and there was Gurthang looking up at me! The kitten had identical markings, she turned out to be a female and i had to take her home. Both cats have neer identical personalities as well, very rambunctious, playfull, destructive, and incredibly affectionate..they will cry if you are not paying attention to them or they dn't know where you are. I have never seen a cat like them, and I am wondering if they are a breed or if i have somehow stumbled on the kitten of my lost cat! Any help would be great.

The best I tell you is a domestic medium hair .... without knowing her parents it is hard to say...

I have to second that these cats are going to be Domestic Medium Haired cats. Also...I hope your female is now fixed.

Or is that from not being brushed?

And i hope you have had your cat spayed.
Yes the grey one Cleo, was my first cat and I thought I was going to keep her inside, but she escaped and came back pregnant, as soon as she weened her kittens we had her spayed...absolutely no more kittens from her!...also two of her kittens went to my best friend who still has them both and loves them very much! So all is well with that.
also her eyes are very strange, they are green neer the pupil, fade to yellow and then copper brown on the edges, also it seems as if one of her eyes it turning brown just a small spot on the bottom of her right eye. I don't kno wif cats eyes change with age or not but she has a very odd look due to it.
And yes Gurthang(in the fourth picture) had very fluffy, almost like lambs hair around his neck and it was curly like that. All of the grey fur is a different texture. i have never seen anything like except on him and my new kitten?!

The first pic (russian blue looking one) looks EXACTLY like my baby Shiraz. I always thought she was a Russian Blue mix... she has the green eyes, but the hair longer in places, and pure Russian Blues have that short dense coat all over. I think she/he is just beautiful, but I guess i'm partial

I don't believe in the term Domestic Medium Hair - since we don't have that here in NZ. Any Domestic that doesn't have a flowing or long coat is a Shorthair and of course one that's got a flowing or long coat is a Domestic Longhair.

You have mixed breed cats - and they cannot produce a purebred cat no matter who they are bred with.

Your little female is a semi-longhaired mix (very pretty). Her eye color appears to be gold (Russian blues have GREEN eyes). Her kittens are just mixed breed blacks, blue and possible blue tabby (the stripes seem pretty defined).

The other kitten is a lovely black smoke. If its a true smoke it will eventually have white as the undercoat. It may however be a black with "kitten" fur that can shed out to a solid black.
