Say a cat was outside for a day and came home prego, she can only get prego once in that time right? Sorry it must sound like a silly question.

Are you asking whether there can be different fathers for the kittens?

cats and most other animals can ovulate over a period of days, in fact cats have a stimulated ovulation where they have to be mating to actually ovulate so if more than one male mounts her while she is in heat then there could be several fathers.

If she mated with more than 1 male she can have a batch of kittens that have different fathers.

well what i was really wondering is can she have 2 different litters? like one day she delivers and then a couple weeks later she delivers again. But she was only outside for a day.

I don't think she can carry more than one litter at a time...however, she can get pregnant again once that litter is born..so do keep her indoors until she is spayed.

She is going to get spayed on Tuesday Since I had her she has not been outside, hopefully her previous owner didnt let her out anymore.

We had a cat named Beast at my shelter (she had a healed face injury and the length of her nose is double the size and looked swollen but it was a permenent thing)

Anyway she had a litter and then a week or 2 later had another litter. I don't know how normal this is but she was outside longer then a day and obviously mated several times. Only 1 kitten survived and then they euthanized the mother for some really stupid reason after the baby was adopted
