on the Christmas tree. Anyone have ideas how to keep the kitties from attacking the ornaments on the tree? They don't seem to want to leave it alone.

In another thread, someone suggested hanging bells on all the lower branches to sound an alert when kitties approach... I thought that was pretty smart!

Cats don't like citrus scents, so you might make some old traditional pomanders: get some whole cloves and press them into a tangerine like little studs all over the fruit, then wrap the tangerine with ribbon like a present and hang it on the tree. Several of those should create a nice, spicy citrus scent that you'll enjoy, but cats won't.

I understand there are also cat repellent sprays you can use, but I've never tried them...

Won't help. Mine can climb the walls here since the walls are covered with carpet so they could still get the tree if they wanted.
