Strange licking...

Anyone ever had problems with their cat licking strange things? Mine likes my husbands arm pits and it doesn't matter if he's fresh from the shower or straight rank from the gym. Any ideas? She also loves to lick the sleeves on his shirts where his arm pit would be. She leaves the shirt soaking wet. We have tried a few different deodorants thinking maybe it was that she liked but it doesn't seem to matter... Anyone?

I believe it would be the saltiness of the skin and sweaty hair in the armpit.

That's because outr personal smell is most intense where are arm pits are. Mine love to stick their cold wet noses in mine ( I do not apreciate this in winter ) though they don't lick, just snif

Thanks everyone. I just wanted to make sure that she is not missing out on anything in her diet or something like that. As for keeping her away from the armpits we try as hard as we can to but she normally does it when he is sleeping and has an arm flung over his head.... the laundry is another story- she digs it out of the hamper. But we'll keep trying

I've got three avid pit-lickers. I read somewhere that the smell of human armpits closely mimics that of a mother cat's nipples. The ones that do it are the more lovey cats we have, i've noticed. The grumpier/more independent ones ingnore them. (could vary. this is just my bunch i'm talking about)

My male love my pits and my boobs....oh well. He enjoys his morning "snuggle" time. The two females could care less.

One of our cats will nuzzle the underarm area of my hubby's tshirts and sweatshirts. She also will lick his toes (GROSS!!!)
Sheba used to do that also in addition of course to our underarms.

My will lick anywhere not covered by clothes , she is an avid"monkey" and nit picks at my hair every morning...
