Yesterday we went to our daughter's for Thanksgiving. While I was there, I saw she has a new cat. She said he was a stray who had just come up and started hanging around her house. She named him 'BeBop". I held him close and cried. Now you are asking why. Well, he was a black and white tuxedo cat, almost identical to my Max who passed in July. You can see my Max in my siggy. BeBop meowed like Max and even acted like him. The only difference was BeBop has a white chin. It was like a little piece of heaven for a few minutes. Although I know it was not Max, it was ...........well....
almost!!!!!!!

That's very touching. A chance to commune with Max one more time! Very sweet.

Thanks for the kind words and the hugs. It is great to know that there are some others who understand how special that moment was. At least I don't feel silly now because of what happened. Hugs back to all of you for being so special and understanding.

Lilliekat,

BeBop looks just like the cat picture in your siggy. And they both look a lot like my Max. I wish he had shown up as a stray in my yard.

How attached is your daughter to this kitty?
Maybe she would want you to have him if she knew how much you were feeling for him. never hurts to ask!

Linda, I tried that already. She is very attached to the cat as she is a real animal person. But it wouldn't surprise me to see her find a cat like Max and bring him here when she comes for Christmas.

There's another kitty out there that you haven't met yet that needs you and will find you when it is time.
Max will make sure you get the kitty that needs you the most.

I am ready to find him too. If he showed up in my yard, he sure would have a good home.

my first every kitty was blackie (a pure black cat obviously) - he was there when I was born and it devestated me when we had him PTS when I was 11.

When I got married and bought my first home I was determined to bring home a kitty to have as my very own. A friend called me alerting me to a very sick kitten at the shelter who was to be PTS the next day (we dont have no-kill shelters here unfortunatly)... off i went to see this kitten and of course he was jet black and looked at me with these innocent eyes and gave me the sweetest of sweet meows... I was in love and no matter how sick he was I was determined to show him the love he so deserved...

I have no doubt in my mind that Blackie sent Tipsy to me 17 years after his passing to the bridge. And I have no doubt that it was with Blackie's help that Tipsy is now with us today as a strong and healthy 3 year old.

That would be cool....if she could find one with a similiar personality.
Let us know what you get for Christmas!
