Things that go bump in the night!

Since coming back to NZ, I will experience a bump in my bed - like someone has kicked it - theres no reason for it to happen, the bed actually moves.

Well last night, I come home from a very busy night at work (its Friday nigth after all!) and I had sore feet and so I am laying down in bed reading a book to wind down.

Then that bump comes, and I said out loud "If you are going to bump the bed, you could at least massage my feet while you are at it!"

A few mins later, the cat comes into my bedroom, sits on my feet and purrs. I said "okay, thats good enough for me, thanks!"

I had to read that twice to see if I understood you right. Kinda cool that you have a ghost! really funny that it talks to the cat

Let us know if anything else strange happens. I have always wanted a friendly ghost!

Interesting...btw, I make a point to never, ever sleep in a bed that is haunted!!!! LOL!!!!!!!!

kellye have you researched into the history of the house? My friend who is a ghost hunter recently spent the night in a haunted hotel. She said she saw several ghosts.

Okay, last night got freakier. I was trying to sleep and then I can feel someone coming in and start rubbing my lower back, they were rubbing it for a long time, maybe a couple of minutes and i could sense it was a woman, it is not a bad feeling but it just freaked me out that I could not move until it stopped and I was too scared to look and so I just reached out behind me and turned on my lamp and I got up to see if it was my mother but it was 2am and she was in bed!!! I know I was certainly awake, I only moved a tiny bit, becuase I was too scared of what I would see, or rather, not see. It might be my nana, because I was always her favourite and she was my favourite person on this planet.

MA - I thikn I will have to find out the history of the house, I do know that the room I am in was added on later. But I will find out more.

Woah are you serious? That's freaky! What you need is a couple of black cats to sleep on the end of your bed. Or would that just make it worse? Time to sleep with a night light.

Kellye, that's kind of scary what's going on there, even though I don't believe in ghosts.

hey I woudln't worry about it - you've got a masseuse! Ghostly yes, but I wouldn't complain if they're sending the cat to massage your feet and coming to massage your back!! Someone is worring about you

It hasn't been back since. I just hope it doesn't happen again, its a bit creepy for my comfort. Nothing like having your back massaged by someone you can't see.

Interesting! When I was with my ex, our bed used to start vibrating for no reason and it used to scare me. He'd always be asleep, so I'd just lay there frozen, wondering what it was. Then one night I figured out it was just him breathing weird and shaking the bed. I have an active imagination. It's hard to describe...but it was like breath in, stop, breathe out, vibrate.

I had a friendly ghost that used to protect me. My cats liked him. I remember saying, Ghost plz tell Pooka I need him, and Pooka would come

Haven't heard from him in a while though, maybe he's moved house

i had a similar experience, someone came and slept in my bed with me, pushed me right up against the wall, i was too scared to look, by the time i woke up i asked my mum why she had to sleep with me and she said she didnt, and neither did my dad that was definetely freaky for me!

I had an experience similar to that when I was 10 - only it was pushing me out of the bed and I was staying at my friends house. It was pitch black and so I looked around for my bed (I was confused in the darkness) and i felt a dresser and I figured that if the dresser is there, then the bed is at the opposite side of the room, and so I turned around and ran and jumped, only to cut my eye on the corner of the other dresser. Afterwards, after having been cleaned up by my friends mother, I saw a man standing in the doorway and I asked my friends father if that was him, he said no, that it was the spirits in the house. That was my first experience and I have the scar to prove it!
