Sofie Galofie walks over to the bed, sniffs at it for a second, and then...

Climbs into the box it came in....

Great, we spent $50 for a cardboard box!

My cat, Sweetie, absolutely loves cardboard boxes. That sounds like something she would do!
Hmm, if she doesn't want it, maybe you could use it so you get your money's worth!

...But have you tried actually placing her in it? She might like it.

She's a very independent-minded cat -- er -- Galofie. Pick her up and put her in it, and she'll just squawk at you and get back out of it.

It's the kind of thing you have to let her discover on her own.

Oh. I see. Yes, cats can be like that. Maybe you should put it in one of her usual sleeping spots, if she has any. Then I think she might discover it and try it out. Huh?

Yes, we put it in one of the cats' usual sleeping spots, they'll figure it out eventually.

I just put that box next to the bed because I knew she'd climb into it first!

^^ We'll give it a try if they don't start using it soon.

The other thing that will likely work is catnip, of course.
