I was wondering when is a good time if at all to change the bedding. My cat just gave birth about 1 week ago and the towel her and her kitten's are laying on is pretty nasty now. Is it okay to change it out or should I just leave it???

It should have been changed before now.
You should give the kittens and the mom fresh bedding daily if you can. That way the momcat is not so inclined to move her kittens to a spot that smells better
Also...make sure that mom stays indoors only until you have a chance to get her spayed.
