John wants to get Harley a really fun cat tree for Christmas, I know that a lot of people get theirs on EBAY-but I've never been on there nor bought anything from there before. Are they really expensive at Petco/PetSmart stores? I just want to start looking soon so I know what to expect!

Thanks!!

Really? How big is it? I dont think I need an overly huge one, I mean I want it to be nice, but its just for Harley ..... right now anyways

Plus we don't have that big of an apartment so I really don't want a massive one!! Just something nice for him to be wild and crazy on, instead of my furniture!

You might want to check out ebay. I'd never bought anything there, either, but recently I was looking for a voliere/big bird cage as a Christmas present, and the best deals were on ebay. I saved about $100, and the voliere was delivered in mint condition three days after my bid was accepted. There are retailers who don't want to go to the time and expense of maintaining their own websites/online stores, and increase their turnover by offering the goods on ebay.
I'd suggest a ceiling-high tree. Jamie was a cat-tree tester for quite a while, and he always seemed to prefer the high, narrow ones that allowed him to really climb, rather than to hop from platform to platform. One with removable, washable covers or cushions is convenient, too.

Petedge.com also has some good deals. That's where I got my kitties' tree. There is also another catalog that we get at work that has good deals in it but I can't think of the name. I will look for it when I go into work tomorrow.

I bought a cat tree from ebay and let me tell you. It was a piece of crap.. It was all wobbly and stuff.

I bought mine from ebay, it it's great. Sturdy, tall and with many levels. My kitties love it and I got it for $100 including shipping. The brand name is Armarkat.
