Took the boys out today in the snow for a short walk. A female cardinal flew past and hid in the hedge, looking pretty against the snow. The boys were most interested.
I love the snow, it's makes such a peaceful scene (just don't like driving!). The cats seemed to be impressed too.

Yup, the lovely MN weather is here!!

Its so slippery out on the roads, the city has been out sanding all morning!

We have had about 5 cars come in with accidents today (no one hurt, thank goodness). What made me really sad is that when I got back from lunch, there was a car sitting in the shop, totalled....an 86 year old man had gone into the ditch...his car was an unbelievable mess, I just pray that he is okay

Otherwise, sitting in my office watching the snow is just beautiful, plus, I went home at noon and Harley was sitting in my window just starring outside! He was mezmorized!

Yup, it's snowing here too, North of the cities that is! We don't have as much as you do Scamperfarms & BabyHarley. Maybe an inch or so. It was enough for my 17 year old to go snowboarding in though! Crazy kid. I'll stay in the house where it's nice and warm!

They (the weather people) have been preparing the UK for snow since early last week. About 75% of the country has been hit except London and some other parts
.... Scotland have had about 5/6 inches and last night up to 1000 school children couldn't get home from school because of it! Wales has been hit really hard too.

It is cold though, but not as cold as some places in the world (it's been about 3/4 degrees in the day and -1 at night time - which is cold for London!) I can't wait for it to snow down here
It's so beautiful!

We got a little amount last night but tomorrow, Mon & Tues its supposed to warm back into the lower 40's for a few days!!! DH is at the farm making firewood today. We stopped in on Thursday and saw that all that windy weather had blown one of the sliding doors off the front-they are going to put it back on today. Monday weather could be light rain which I hope doesn't happen as I am going on Monday to the woods to cut pine/spruce/cedar boughs for decorating outside the house.

Well, I wish I COULD send it to you!!! Because I sure don't want it! LOL!!!!!

BTW, I heard we might have rain that turns into snow (yuck) next Monday/Tuesday. Driving anywhere should be very interesting!

babyharley, have you heard how that 86 year old man is??????

We had real snow here once that was anything somewhat significant (if you want to call it that). It was in 1989 and our entire city shut down. We didn't know what to do!
I remember making a small little snowman with all the snow I could gather in the front yard.

Western Germany and the Benelux got hit pretty hard, resulting in thousands of car accidents, power failures, closed rail lines, and closed airports. My area only got about 2 inches, but is expecting heavy snowfall on Monday and Tuesday (great - I have tests scheduled for the first two lessons both days
). Of course, 4 - 5 inches of snow are considered "heavy" snowfall here, unless you're in the Alps, and things come to a standstill because of the idiots who don't have snow tires, but insist on driving anyway.
