Unfortunately, there's always a time lag. I have to say that I'm pleased with my virus protection - I always get a pop-up asking if I really want to open any email with an attachment, so I have to think before acting.Originally Posted by valanhb

I will say that what we run at work (Symantec Corporate Version) took TWO DAYS before they updated their definitions while I was getting innundated with the emails. Between the FBI/CIA ones and another Sober Worm virus spree, I had gotten well over 100 of these before the virus protection caught it. Don't soley rely on the anti-virus programs.Common sense is the best defense against these things.
