Horse wants a pet kitty!!!?

Hi everyone!!!My husband just informed me that the last kitten that we have ...we just got a call for....this is the strangest thing but kinda cute...A lady called asking about our kitties and we told her that one is left. Long story what happened to the other ones...anyways she stated that her horse (they live on a farm),,,,LOVES CATS! And that whenever he hears a cat meowing he goes looking for it, and when he finds it he go to it and TALKS to it. How he talks to it I am not sure???..but I will be calling this lady later to get more info...I thinks it sounds like a good home but will be making sure. Also this lady is retired...

I will give you the update when I know more...

Sounds nice! My Ellie's mother lived in a stable with horses and her kittens were born there, in the hay. The cats always seemed to get on fine with the horses.

Traveler (horse) and Bailey(barn cat) are near inseperable. Bailey sleeps in Trav's grain pan and walks on his back when he gets the urge to.

Maryann, I would LOVE to see a pic of that! (Bailey on Trav's back)

Good for the Horse and cat ... My dog is the same way... I left her with my aunt who has 5 horses , I came to get her and she was in with them ( she is a yorkie)

Vixen has two kitties that are hers....she watches over them like a mother

Well again it has been such a day! I ended up having to take this last kitten to work with me and well no one was prepared for that(especially my coordinator or secretary)...this lil kitty didn't like car rides...or new places she cried an awful lot. Her new owner took her to her farm had her settle in her new home(the barn). Little kitty hasn't met "Moe" the horse who is apparently going to love her! But she is apparently abit lonely and needs a little buddy. I kinda miss all our babies being gone but it is for the best...I can officially say I survived having kittens and now all we need to do, is prevent it from happening again. Off to the vet to get fixed soon. Yah!

how cute a horse that loves kitties

Sounds good to me. Cats and horses usually get along very well. It doesn't make much sense to me but I don't have to understand it!

I have never had a horse love a cat, but I had a female pot bellied pig, and a big beautiful Throughbred Stallion, and when Sarah ( the pot bellied pig) would come in heat she would go and rub all over the stallions legs and cry to him like what was he supposed to do, she would actually lay in his stall and cry to him that's the truth it was so darn funny and he was such a Beautiful Sweet Stallion never tried to hurt her he was over 16 hands also so that was not going to work at all

Poor baby...Although there probably is`nt much chance of her accidently getting PG, I hope you finally did get her fixed so she did`nt have to lament .

I remember seeing a documental on TV about a gorilla who was being studied by a group of biologists. One of them gave her a kitty, and the gorilla fell in love with it. Poor kitty escaped from the recint one day and was run over The worse thing was that the gorilla got depressed and refused to eat. Some ppl found out and passed the message, and tons of ppl sent kittens to the poor gorilla.

i heard about that gorilla, it could sign too.

it would call the cat something like 'good, fine cat cat' lol!

i saw a monley in cambodia that loved kittens and puppies! she would rocky them to sleep! was sooo funny.

Several of the thoroghreds at Ellis PArk racetrack have companion cats. (they have since been moved because of too much damage from the November 6 tornado to the track facilities.) A newspaper article several years ago mentioned one horse that almost pined itself to death after it accidentally killed it's cat. The artcle mentioned other animals that horses have that help calm them between races.

The gorilla is KoKo and she has a fondness for manx cats.

Wouldn't of never imagined that! but wow, that's amazing
