Is this a "gender" thing?

I have two males and two females. For some reason, the females crave "people" food more, and will not leave me alone when we I am eating. On the other hand, the males are actually turned off by my food. Any reason for this? Thanks

Maybe the females have gotten it more and know how to get it/beg for it. The males haven't gotten into that habbit or tasted it to know if they like it. When I was young we would go through phases where Clover would get scraps, this would make a beggar of a kitty who would get in your face just ot get anything. On the other hand there were other times where we absolutely didn't allow any scraps to be fed at all and he would learn that no matter how much begging, he wouldn't get anything so he wouldn't bother after a while.

I don't really think its gender related.

Thanks..Maybe it could just be coincidental as well. I even tried to give the males some of my food, but they wouldn;t take it. However, I would rather that noe of my cats eat people food, so I discourage it now.

not only the gender things... maybe sometimes is up to the cat peference... example like me
Jasmine (GIRL): will come to me if i have am eating HOTDOG & DURIAN (Malaysia Local Fruits)
LADY (GIRL) : Chicken Nugget
SHAWN : EAT EVERYTHING.... but DURIAN and HOTDOG
DELPHI : NOODLE

so everyone of my cat have their favourite food.. is depend on them...
