To a black and white kitty whose name I never knew....

About 1 month ago I was on my way home at about 8:00 in the morning. I had just dropped the girls off at school for the day.

Anyways... I all of a sudden saw this cat run out in front of the car that was in front of me! Barely missed him/her. I looked over and the cat sat off to the side of the road and just looked. I said aloud to myself..."That was lucky kitty"

Then I look out my rear view mirror and this kitty had run back in the opposite direction across this busy 4 lane highway!!! He/she made it passed all 4 lanes and almost made it to safety when a cars' right front wheel got him.
I watched this beautiful black and white cat flip flop around until it had
crossed.
I have thought about him/ her everyday since that day.
I cried all the way home.

The worse thing was it took the animal control almost 2 weeks to go pick him/ her up!!! I kept calling but it still took that long. Every time I passed that area my heart just sunk to my feet.

Just wanted to get it off my chest.... but never off my mind.

Oh, Sarah, your story really touched me - the kindness & concern that you showed for that poor cat, and the strength that it took for you to stay there until it passed, so that it did not die alone, but with knowing that you cared. Surely its injuries were severe, and there was no other road for that cat but the one that crosses over RB - I'm sure his/her spirit lifted a paw to you to say, "Farewell, and thank you for caring!"
BTW, my grandson 9yo grandson John would like to say this to you:
