I don't know if this would be "over stimulation" as I am unfamiliar with that.

Anyways when I pet Sadie (my cat) she will be fine and then she will start to attack my arm. Like she will scratch it, and the claw it and bite my arm. I try and pull away but then she just does it more. I really don't know what the reason is. But it's after I have been petting her. Is there any way to cure this or make her stop?

She has never been social. I have been trying to show her more affection in hopes that she will return it. In any case any help or tips would help.

Thanks, Danny

Learn to read your cat's signs of overstimulation. Most cats show signs before they attack. Things like twitching of the back, lashing the tail back and forth, pupils dilated. If you recognize your cat getting too stimulated by the petting, then you just stop before the attack comes.

Do you pet her belly? Some cats take that as a signal it's play time.

Hi Breakaway,
i think ur cat thinks that u r playing with him/her. it is ok shud it does not bite / scratch too hard. unlike my Wesley, he do not like his belly to be rubbed or else, his sharp fangs will sank at the nearest flesh of my body
