What are your favorite supplements and why?

Hi folks,

I'd really appreciate it if you would share with me what supplements you use with your kitties, and which brands/supplements are your favorites (and why).

I just use vitamin world l-lysine 500mg capules with my cats. Each cat gets 1/2 capsule twice a day mixed in their wet food. This is b/c one cat has viral herpes, the other has a URI right now, and as a preventative measure for the kittens so they don't catch the URI or the viral herpes from the other cats.

My kitties are all seniors (ages 8 -14), so they take 250mg of glucosamine per day - it really helps the oldest one with her arthritis & is supposed to act as a preventative for the other 3 who have yet to show signs of arthritis. They also get 1/4 teaspoon of cod liver oil & 1 capsule of Jarrow-dophilus (a beneficial bacteria blend). The Jarrow-dophilus was recommended to help with hairballs & it seems to do the trick. I should follow their regimen...they take more supplements than I do!

Grizzly Salmon Oil for both of them and Dr. Goodpet's Optimum Growth Forumal for Lola. The oil is because we have a very dry apartment with very dry radiator heat and things get itchy in the winter. And the Optimum Growth is her sort of multi-vitamin boost since she was so small.

What is this?

I'm using Fastrack Microbial suppliment and SynFlex liquid glucosamine suppliment. My one year old has hip problems and needs to be on glucosamine already, and I've noticed my older girl slowing down a bit, so I give her some too When I have more money I'm also going to get some Dentatreat (they both could use it!) and an Omega Oil suppliment. I hope they'll eat their food with so much STUFF In it! LOL
