How do I know this, you say? Because my girl Henry is actually using one of the scratching posts. I have never run so fast to get a treat bag, LOL! I still catch her trying to scratch the carpet too, but I've seen her use the post probably eight times now.
Almost as miraculous, she is actually CHOOSING to come sit by me (not ON me, mind you, but curled up by me) while I'm sitting in the recliner watching TV. Normally she only gets up there with me if I have food or yarn.
(She's not feral or scared or anything, just not affectionate. Doesn't mind being petted, and will even tolerate being picked up for a little bit now, but she's just always been more independent.)
