Take a quick look back at world affairs, prices, etc. on the day you
were born.

This is a neat website! I checked out the day i was born. Maybe you could tO AND POST IT HERE.

STS-9 vehicle again moves to launch pad.
W Wilson Goode (D) elected 1st black mayor of Philadelphia.

This was the only really cool thing that happened in the news that day:
Sep 17 - Begin, Sadat & Carter sign the Camp David accord
The music was just bad, with the end of disco upon us. lol
It was also the last time we had a decent human being in the White House...Jimmy Carter. Bless him, he is such a good man...and tried so hard at the presidency. I think his goodness as a human being was his downfall as president. How sad is that....

And although it doesn't mention it on this website, that's the year the whole infamous Watergate scandal occurred, with Richard Nixon as President.

The things that strike me most are that bread was only 14 cents a loaf , a stamp was 3 cents and gas was 20some cents a gallon! (WOW! Where have those days gone?)
