Vet isn't and option in this household unfortunetly, I wish it was but my parents and grandmother think it's just a "waste" of money.

Its front bottom teeth are starting to grow, it's a female.

What other information is needed?

Forgive me that I can't help you, but may I make a small point... If the Vet isn't an option and your kitty gets sick... What happens then?

I think she means by "vet not an option" is the grandmother thinks taking the kitten to the vet JUST to find out age is a waste of time - I kinda agree. But she might be able to ask to come in for an assistant to take a look if they are not busy.

If the front teeth are just coming in, I suspect the kitten to be about 3-4 weeks old - that would be when they start coming in.

OP, where did you get the kitten? If its only 3-4 weeks old you have a lot of work to take care of it if the mother is not around to nurse.

My family mostly my grandmother and father don't use money on vets(vaccinations,...) they find it a waste...
Unfortunetly the vet here beeing extreamly costly and sometimes bad service is one of the reasons.
We once took two of our dogs of our to the vet, they were salivating a lot, the vet said they had raibies and had to be put down, he didn't even touch them, we took them home and the one is still alive now, it turned out they didn't have rabies just a bug going around. The other one had to be put down, he had gotten into a fight with some dogs over a female and his jaw was broken, we tryed having him operated but there was nothing they could do.
Ussualy in extream cases we take them to the vet, but my family prefferes to wait till it gets better.
My mother is more of my opinion, but she doesn0t have much say between them.
I doubt that anyone would come over, they don't even pick up any animals, you need to phone the firemen, and the animal has to be in some sort of risk to phone.

I find things here are f#$% up, the voluntering firefighters even go on strike sometimes to get a bigger paycheck, what is so voluntere about that?

Well it doesn't seem like a baby baby, maybe in it's early teens, it eats solids, I think only the front teeth of the bottom jaw were still growing last checked last week. Cats real crazy lol

it is about the lengh of my screen, my screen I think is 17, not sure.

It is sad that vets are expensive in your country. I totally understand. Where I am from, vets are expensive and some of them are just bad doctors. I had an outdoors cat that got in a fight and we took him to the vet. He gave him a medicine for horses. The following week the cat was doing worse and I spoke to a friend of mine whose big brother was going to vet school in St. Kitts. She called him and explained everything to him and that's how we learned about the med. My dad was livid and off we went to see him. Long story short, this vet is the mayor of my home town now!!!!

About your family, my grandma always thought that spending money on a cat was wasting the money. Luckily, she didn't live with us and my parents were cat lovers.

Perhaps in Portugal, there are vets that you can volunteer for, you can offer to help them answering phones, filing, doing some cleaning in the office in exchange of his services.

There a website www.kitten-rescue.com. It will give you pointers on kitten and how to care for them. Good luck and keep us posted.

I would still plan to have her spayed and please keep her indoors until she is spayed so she doesn't end up pregnant.

When you say the bottom teeth, do you mean the big pointed teeth or the little teeth in between them?

If it is the teeth in between them, the kitten is probably between 8 and 12 weeks old. They have all their milk teeth in by 14-16 weeks so he is definitely younger than that.

Yes I rescued it. I'll tell you all about it:

It had been miauing for abour 3 nights, the last night it was miauing very desperatly.

I went during the night bear foot in my pjamis to the nearby electric/tv power box against a wall in the road, it always makes a zzzt soud when your near it, I felt it and it was hot.

The cement was recent as they had been fixing the road, my feet were hurting cause of a lot of loose stones on the floor, but I didn't pay much attention to it, I just wantted to get the kitten as fast as possible.
I had pinpointed the sound from the box, notices something on the one end facing my house, when a car came I'd run for my house and hide inside till it was gone, can never be to carfull, I went to the other end and saw it, but when I'd go close it would back up, this box is wide so didn't want it to get out of reach.

I miaued and it started to come out but when I went to grab it it ran quickly inside.

I ran for the house to get a broom, and ran back to the box, I tryed with the brushy part cause there's less chanse of me hurting it with it, but it woulden't work, so I used the wooden part, and pushed it foward, it was resisting, it was nearly within reach, put as I pushed it it started going towards a browen bottle pointing straight at it, when it was just touching the broken botle I managed to grab it, there was a lot of debree behind there.

It had hissed at me from behind the box, but was still in my arms, and tryed hiding its head between my arms, I took it upstairs, and told my mother, she said I coulden't keep it in my room, cause if my family heard it they's surely hurt it or something. So I got a cage put milk and food, and the kitten inside, it was a small cage about the size of 2 of him, but just till I could find an owner. I left it on a sort of roof area, it's a flat roof peace that covers the stairs that go from one floor of the house to the next partially.

Whenever I'd touch the cage especially with some object it would hiss and try to scratch, like when I'd try changing the food, I got a few scratches but didn't give up, that lead me to belive it might have been mistreated, as if I had my hand in the cage it woulden't mind, so it coulden't be a wild cat, I've known my shaire of wild cats they don't ease up so quickly and so easily.
4 days went passed and my search and the search of my friends for an owner had given 0 results, and now the kitten was starting to miau for me. I was really feeling bad for it in the cage, but didn't want to just release it, there were a lot of animal killings happening by poisenings, cars.... my area wasn't much of the cat lover sort.

On about the 5th day I let it out the cage hoping it was enugh time for the small kitten to get used to the place and not run away, I coulden't leave it in that small cage any longer.

I let it out and it would only stay in that spot and try getting in the cage, so I took the base of the cabe apart and left the cage side ways, so it could go in and out as it please, it started to get used to everything and play a bit, but now it was getting windy and rainy, I gathered 3 cages dismounted the bottoms, put them togeather, covered it with a plastic like computer cover, for the rain not to get in, and a blanket on top, as when it wasn't rainy the sun would be very hot, a starnge weather period, I did that improve during a rainy and windy day as it started sudenly.
But managed to get a good setup, this lasted a wile, and my granny and father started seing it, my niece loved it so they didn't harm it.

It got stronger and jumped the wall that devided the roof and the open corridor to the 2nd floor entrance, since my niece of nearly 2 years old loved it, and gets all happy to see it, was the main reason they kept it. It now sleeps mostly in my room, though it has been attacking my eyes and managed to scratch me in my eye, I'm not kicking it out!

I once woke up with it sleepeeng on my neck, was so funny I woke up with a strange feeling, and saw I was wearing a real live scarf, I didn't want to wake it up, so I slep longer, and tryed sleeping some more even though I wasn't sleepy anymore.

It's been causing some problems, like unplugging things, don't ask me how, climing curtains, messing my grannies plants up, scratching and biting during playtime, but hopefully if they'll excuse it like I have and it will do it less.

It killed my grannies bird today, I was quite sad, it was a sweet litle bird, and I did like it, my mom brought it to me wile it was taking it's last breafs
but me and my mom covered up for the kitten!

It was white with blue eyes, but the eyes are always changing color now a sort of grey/green/blue mix.

It keeps doing funny things, like the first time I bathed it, I had a bucket in the bathtub with water, and it in the bath, warm water by the way.
It would try to look for a way out slowly, and all of a sudden jumped... right into the bucket of water, lol poor thing, it didn't mind the bath much.

Don't want to bore you anymore.

Best Wishes

Sheara

My grand mother didn't mind 2 much cause I said I'd get her another one, gonna be hard cause it was given to her and the bird is expensive, now I have to save for haveing the cat fixed, save for vaccinations, and for an expensive bird.
We just call it cat, kitty, kitten, I mentally call her houdini, houdina, cause she can dissapear easily, lol, she's getting big and growing nicely.
