Stripy is a 16 year old male cat and weighs about 7 lbs. He has these seizures, about one a day. He furiously bites his side or rectum and growls and cries. He also flipps over a couple of times and then runs away. After it's over, everything go back to normal and he will go to sleep or go and have some food. Any ideas ? Thanks, Evie

Have you taken Stripey to the vet? His condition sounds an awful lot like it could be feline hyperesthesia, which is very, very serious. Search the forums for the term "feline hyperesthesia" and you'll get a complete rundown of the symptoms and problems this disease can cause. It is not technically a seizure disorder, but is, as far as I know, neurologically related.
Please take Mr. Stripey to a vet ASAP and keep us posted on his condition, poor little guy!
