What can you do about scabs?

My cat was having severe itching problems and the Vet changed her food about 3 weeks ago and put her on an allergy medication. Of course, these will take time to work. She has a scabby area on her neck. Should anything be done to help it heal? Thank you.

I wouldn't do anything. The scab means the organism is healing itself, just watch over her and make sure she doesn't scratch off the scab and infect the wound.
