Ok, I know that this has nothing to do with cats, but I have been looking everywhere for a dog forum and Can't find one...I was wondering if anyone here knows anything about "poodle bumps." I have a 8 year old poodle/snauzer, also known as a snoodle, or schnoodle. He has many bumps on his back. The vet said it's cysts and told me it's harmless but some are growing, and he's developing more in the 2 years Ive had him. He only had 1 or 2 when I got him, now he's got at least 5. They dont hurt him unless I squeeze them, and they are hard. Sorry if this is an innaproppriate question for this cat forum...if anyone knows of a dog forum, please let me know.

The vet is likely right ... they are old age tags ... My Peggy starting getting them at about 8 she nearly saw 17 ... Gigi is eight now and has one.... They can be brought on by poor nutrion in the early or middle years...

feel free to pm me .. I heard something called dog mania not sure how good??

My sister has a airapoo. I grow up with dogs and raised boxers. So the first thing I want to ask is.......Have you had a second vet look at your dog? Next, has your vet taken samples of the lumps for testing? I am not saying that your vet is a bad one. I just wonder if he has xray eyes?? How did he come to determined that. If your dog is getting more of them. What can he do to stop or pervent them?

I'm sorry but I would have a lot of questions for your vet. I don't think that if your dog is getting more of these lumps you should not push a little harder. Dogs and cats do not show pain or sickness like we do.

Please,Please talk have your vet run some tests or have your dog looked at by another vet just to make sure.

The vet used a needle to take a sample of the bump, and I think it was a kind of liquid inside, and she said it was just a cyst. I am defenitely gonna get a second opinion as soon as I get the money.
