He shaved Lyla and Lace...cause he thought he was "Helping me not have to do so much brushing!"
While..I am thankfull for his thoughtfullness. I am in tears and mad all at the same time.

Lyla was being entered in a Show for January! and had some LOVELY coat...

I am starting to think I wont be able to show them. Because I have no idea when the next Local show will be. And I want to try my hand locally before I travel..and her hair wont be all grown back in and show shape by January.

And someone told me (I of course think thats hogwash) that the older they get the harder it is to Start showing them.

UGH! MEN!

I have mentioned it on here a lot of times before. It IS harder to show them as they get older. They've got to experience the show scene right from babies so they are used to it. Of course there are exceptions and some cats fit right in but in my experience most don't. That's why we start showing them at four months old.

Lucky for me Lyla who is the best of my ops for showing is Mrs friendly. We take her to petsmart on harness and she does well. And people handle her. And I have had a friend who does judgeing do some handleing with her as well *le sigh* just gotta wait for the hair to grow back

I have to agree with Sam on this. I showed Mik at 7 going on 8 months in kitten class, and shortly after attaining championship and premiership 2 months later he didn't want to be shown any longer.

I'm sorry, but it sounds very funny. No, really, poor kitties and poor you, you must be so mad. Keep the poor babies warm. I would worry about Steve though, assuming I'm right in thinking he's your partner, not your son.

Usva here sends fur-growing vibes: She was so miffed, when her tail had to be partly shaved at the vets' and my sister decided to cut lots more off "to make it symmetrical". She sure doesn't like people laughing at her.

I'm confused!

I feel so sorry for your kitties. I'm sure that was very scary.
Did he not think it would scare them, or not care? I'm glad the one that was most important wasn't shaved at least...

Can you post pictures?

Oh, dear! I'm glad Lyla is ok! Can Lace just go with to the show, so she can get the experience of sitting in the cage with Lyla?!?
