Last time I brought my dog and cat into the vets, they told me about a pill that you give your pet once a month, that gets rid of fleas, and worms. I can't remember what it's called....anybody know? I heard of advantage but I think that's only for fleas.

revolution gets rid of fleas, ear mites, roundworms, and is a heartworm preventative. But it is a topically applied liquid, not a pill.

It sounds like Heartgard to me (it is one word). If I remember correctly, Heartgard+ protects against heartworm, hookworms, & roundworms. it is usually a once-a-month chewable tablet that is formulated to taste like a treat (although you can get it in tablet form for kitties allergic to beef).
