My Boy Rambo for the last few night's will not let my wife into bed with me
. He will growl and hiss alittle , hasn't swatted her or anything yet , just sits on my stomach or her side of the bed and makes her feel not wanted . So Amy will go into the spare room and try to get some shut eye . Rambo will start his 105 db purr and tuck me in and make sure i am groomed too > amy told me the second i start snoring Rambo will goto her and tuck her in and must wait for her to fall asleep

He has always slept with us since day one our bed is his safe spot and always sleeps right between us . I've had him at the vet in the last week and he is at 110% health

Any ideas ??

I think you need to be very firm with him and move him! Let him onto the end of the bed once you are both in it. Otherwise one of you will be citing Rambo in a divorce!

I'm not sure why he's not letting your wife into bed, but don't let him have his way. You're the 'alpha cat'. When he growls and hisses at your wife, he needs to be told No! and put on the floor. Once you and your wife are settled in bed you can allow him back up on the end of the bed if his behavior is good, but if he starts growling/hissing again tell him no again and put him back on the floor. Be consistent and persistent, but whatever you do, don't let him win. He needs to understand that you're in charge.

I should have also said that i've been going to bed 1/2 hr before Amy , but i don't think that will help much though . I'm gonna try putting him down and maybe I'll hiss back at him ( i've done it to him to let stinky eat wet food cause rambo was being a butthead )

I am not one to talk, but speaking from experience these dominant cats will get away with anything if you allow them to. Who knows what caused it but, maybe it's time for little buddy to calm down or sleep at your feet.

That's hilarious! What's even funnier is that you let your cat get away with it.

Sorry, just having fun - but I know all about it. Our cat will often fall asleep on my wife's side of the bed, because the cat likes her blanket better. And we have an unspoken rule in our house that nobody disturbs a sleeping kitty. So I always joke, "Oh well, Mom's sleepin on the couch tonight."

As if you didn't need to hear it again, but as the others have said, you can't let this cat run your life. Shove him off the bed when he does this to her and he'll soon learn that if he wants to be on the bed with you, he has to accept her as well.

seems to me that the cat is not specificly trying to stop her from sleeping with you. but simply stop her from disterbing your sleep. what happens if amy goes to bed before you? or if you go to bed at the same time?

... maybe i am giving the cat too much credit.

personaly i would follow the advice above. but if you want to figure out what the cat is thinking try testing the idea to figure out exactly what is going on.
