Garfield wants me to lick him clean? What?!?

Yea... you read it right.
Why does Garfield (a meowmys boy already) come and lay right in front of the computer screen when Im here and start loving on me. Then starts licking me clean and when he is finished he looks at me like "Hey woman, wheres my bath"


Does anyone elses' cat do this?

He's treating you as he would another cat that he's close to.
Jamie grooms us all the time, but he's generally content to be combed in return, not licked. In hot weather, though, I wet a washcloth and rub it over him - he seems to think that's the equivalent of a good "cat bath".

Oliver grooms me in the morning when I'm awake but still in bed cuz I don't wanna uncurl from him! haha... I've also taught him to "give kisses" on comand and that sometimes turns into a groom session for me, haha... he's happy with scritchies in return and the occasional cat cookie

Yup! My Cupid will get in front of me and give himself a bath, then start on me. I stop him because it hurts, but I love on him in return.
Of course...he also gives the furry blanket I covered my desk in (because he's always on it) a bath as well.

haha! yep! thats what cats do! they expect you to groom them back. My 1year old baby butts his head up against me when i go to kiss his forhead. Of course I don't lick him clean, I just give him a bunch of kisses there until he is happy.

Our boy Mr.Gray is in love with his dad (my boyfriend Eric) and will wake him up in the morning by licking all over his chin and nose! I think Mr.Gray really enjoys that Eric has a beard because he'll only lick me on the nose once or twice but will go to town on Eric for as long as he'll put up with it!
Whenever Mr.Gray decides he wants to be groomed back he'll butt our chins with his head so we'll rub on his head with our chins. He seems to like the fake bath! Our other cat Hector doesn't give baths but I've taught him to give me a "kiss"! I'll put my face relatively close to his and ask for a kiss and he'll tink his nose against mine! Its so cute

It took me a while to catch on, but I finally realized that's exactly what my little Pearl wants! Once or twice a night, she comes strolling up my legs, snuggles down on my chest, and starts licking my neck and chin. It does hurt, but I accept it as long as I can -- I don't want her to think I don't appreciate it!

Once she's feels I'm clean enough, she closes her eyes and tucks her nose under my chin, just waiting for me to reciprocate. I love her so dearly... but one does have to draw the line somewhere. :-) So I give her a nice little fingertip massage instead, and she seems satisfied with that.

And if I'm lucky, she falls asleep right there on my chest. Is there anything sweeter?

No there isnt anything sweeter and thats why I just love cats.
I also have taught Lilo (yes, Ms. touch me not) to give kisses. Only for a treat though.
