Foster or adopt cats whose homes are being destroyed!

Today ACA volunteers are at a trailer park in Kenner, Louisiana, near the New Orleans Airport, trying to rescue over 80 cats who have been living there. Residents have been evicted and the area is scheduled to be bulldozed on November 19th.

Volunteer teams arrived with traps Wednesday morning, but were initially kept busy just scooping up friendly cats who came up to them. A total over 50 cats were rescued the first day there!

We need to find no-kill shelters, barn homes and foster homes for these cats from the Kenner trailer park, as well as the over 130 other cats still at the ACA emergency shelter.

Can you help?

Humane groups: If your group might be able to take in a number of New Orleans cats and hold or foster them for one month before adopting them out (people are still looking for their pets), we would love to hear from you.

Individuals: If you have a barn on your property, live in the southern US, and would be willing to relocate two or more New Orleans feral cats to your barn and provide daily food and water,
OR
If you could provide foster care and/or adopt one or more of the cats rescued from New Orleans. . .

Contact us: We'd love to hear from you! Please e-mail us at [email protected] and let us know if you are able to help. After hearing from you weâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]ll send you our foster care/adoption application to complete.

Thank you for caring about the cats!
