That's why I think the punishment fits the crime. She exposed those kittens to just about all of the above. She should realize, really experience, what she did to the poor things.
Im not saying I disagree with the judges descision-i'd probably do the same thing. All im saying is that the sentence is more harsh then what people realize when you take into account what could happen to her out there. Also, the punsihment is not exactly equal. Animals are not equal to people. As much as I am an animal lover and hate to admit it, people are more important then animals. If she did that to a person then the punishment would have fit them crime equally. Unless it was a baby she did it to because a baby would die out there really quick.
You have to remember too that we don't know how old these kittens were. Animals generally can live in outdoor/harsh conditions a lot longer then humans can. Even young animals have instincts that humans do not.
Im not saying it's right that she did that as it is a terrible thing to do and
again, im not disagreeing with the judges descision but I would definately take all factors into account.
