Thank you! Our colors are red and white. There really is not TOO much left to do...send rehearsal dinner invitations, order beverages, make favors, design and print ceremony programs...

A great website is weddingchannel.com. They have a very detailed checklist to make sure you are right on track, without it I would be lost!

My best friend got married on Saturday. It was a midieval wedding and we all rented costumes. It was fun! Never been to a themed wedding like that. Mine is going to be really traditional...well with a few twists.

I TOTALLY know where you're coming from Courtney - it'll come, it'll come. I was starting to throw in a few not-so-subtle hints myself (after 3 year together) - turns out Rich had been thinking about asking me for about 9 months now!

I've ordered this book from Amazon - anyone read it? It got great reviews and it seems to be practical but humourous at the same time.

I have lots of ideas but no idea where to start with all the planning

Has anyone started a wedding journal that they can look back on afterwards? I might do that to keep myself organized!

My weekend plants:
Get fiance to look over ceremony material I liked best and come up with what we will use in ceremony.
Register at target.
Have violinist play music so we can decide what songs will be played when.
Order programs for ceremony.

Last week I attended a wedding and the weekend after this I will attend another wedding. So weddings are in the air! I've got to find time to fit in a yardsale (I think May 29th) to help pay for a few things.

We finally decided that the rehersal dinner will be at my dad's house catered by teh Q-Shack (carolina bbq). Very informal and give people traveling ina taste of teh south. Probably 40-50 people...the house will be bursting, lets hope for a sunny day!

Then also this week I need to book the horse&carriage and the hairdresser is supposed to call me back so she can be booked. Also need to get a marriage license.

Ugh! Only 53 days left!

PS: When do people get their invitations out?? Mine are coming in on Monday (late oii). I've heard 4-6 weeks is normal but I've got family on my butt about it. We'll be working all of next week to get them addressed and hopefully out by next weekend. so that should put it at about 6 weeks. It seems to late to me....
