Hi girls! Good news, we put a hold on Sat, August 19, 2006 at the Riverview Inn in Pennsville, NJ!!! http://www.cooksrestaurants.com/index_riverview.htm
We're going to a bridal open house this weekend to meet with vendors and see the place all decorated so I'll be sure to take some pics. And I don't know about you guys but I have been a nervous wreck trying to make these decisions. And now we're working on our list...trying to stay under 150 is very hard.

Anywho, I really like these Jim Hjelm seperates for the bridesmaids dresses...check these out and let me know which ones you like...thanx!!

P.S. I'm leaning towards brown, champagne and pink colors.

My hubby and I were engaged for just over two years before our big day. Of course, that was almost 10 years ago now. How time flies!

Gorgeous dresses!!!
They're in a similar style to what I always envisioned having...one of these days! Anyway that's such a hard decision, they're all so beautiful! I'm leaning towards the first and/or last though.

Wow, your planning is coming along great! Jim Hjelm makes great stuff. I really liked the second dress. Guess what? I'm doing brown (chocolate) and pinks for my dresses as well
. This is my favorite bridesmaid dress in those colors: http://www.foreverbridals.com/images/76111.jpg
GOOD LUCK keeping it under 150 people! We're at about 150 right now, but remember that about 10% will not come, even more if many of them are out of town. That may ease the pain a bit!

My bf agreed to go to a bridal expo with me this Saturday!!!!!
We saw the ad in a paper and when I said it looked interesting, he was like, why not, let's have a look at it!

We even discussed places to scan for engagement and wedding ring and I'm sooooo excited! Last night I had a vision of my gown and it was fabulous!!!!

yeah, i hear ya there...I want to keep it low, about 140 would be great for me but my fiancee's (don't ya love saying that word?!) family is HUGE. And I asked all of my girls...we're having 6 on each side...small is slowly turning into BIG! But I have so many close friends that I wanted them all in it. Yeah, that dress is cute...I love brown and pink together. Me and my maid of honor are going dress shopping this weekend...yeah!!! and then to a bridal show on Sunday. Did you pick out your invites yet? I think I'm designing mine with a brown and pink pattern too. It compliments each other so well!!! I also have to work on picking a photographer...and pronto. So many decisions...it's overwhelming!!!

Whoo Susan, so much to do!
Yup, the word "fiancè" is a fun one to get to say
.

I haven't picked out invitations yet, but I'm going to do that with Bradley's mom (she's paying for them) sometime in March. I know your pink and chocolate invitations will look incredible! That makes it extra-special that you're designing it yourself.

6 attendants on each side?!?! Girl, do you know what you're in for??
Just kidding; it's such a fun way to honor your special friends.

I'm having lunch with a potential photographer on Friday. She works in my dad's office (PR for a university) and does weddings on the side. From what I've heard, she does beautiful work. Since my dad is her supervisor, I'm looking to get some good deals
.

Has anyone registered yet? Bradley and I registered at Bed, Bath, and Beyond (what a blast!) and Target on Saturday; we're registering at Belk for our china soon.

Sounds like bridal shows abound these days! Ours is in late Feb but I cannot wait to go. My maid and matron of honor (both of whom live out of town) are coming to Savannah this weekend, so I'm having a girls weekend with the entire bridal party. I'm taking all 4 girls, as well as my mom and soon-to-be MIL, out to lunch on Sat. and then we're going to make some final dress decisions!

Is anyone else having as much FUN as I am these days getting ready for a wedding?

Renee, I'm sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, but I say elope, child! Avoid the planning stress and just get married! That's what's most important at this point anyway, right?

Tracy- that looks like a beautiful place to hold your ceremony/reception. Will your ceremony be outdoors? I hope you have fun dress shopping with your mom- it is such a blast!

I can't believe I never saw this thread before! Hehe how fun. Ok I've been engaged since October, 2004 (wow that long ago already!!!!). The date is June 17, 2006. We are having it at the Preston Woodal House . My fiance is Chris Flowers so I will soon to be going from Natalie Doe to Natalie Flowers. One English name to another, with quite the improvement (no more, is your sister Jane?? Is your dad's name John?? Good thing you weren't named Jane..). His mother is Philipino and he was born in teh Philipines, his father was Air Force so they moved a bit before ending up at Ft. Bragg. So to honor his family he and the groomsmen will not be wearing tux's but Philipino formal wear - Barongs.

So my dress is ordered and is due March 31st! Still trying to get all my bridesmaids measured and with deposits (5 total).

We registered for gifts at Linens and Things last weekend and Belk's this weekend!! It was fun :p .

We have our rings now too!! Chris got a nice band with an engraved design and 2-toned. I got a custom band with 4 saphires and 3 diamonds alternating. I love saphires and was so excited to somehow incorporate them into my band.

We have pretty much all our vendors we just have to pay them now!!!

I don't have a big family at all, & am not into big church weddings..but I'm not into going to the "justice of the peace" or doing Vegas. I want something unusual.
It would be such a scream to get married at Hines field during a Pittsburgh Steelers/Cleveland Browns game, on the 50 yard line at half time, with Bill Cowher giving me away. My fiancee & his family are all Browns fans, my family is all Steelers. Bigtime football rivals, two rival fans getting married.

All silly dreams aside, I want to get married in the Redwoods. There is something so spiritual there I'll never find in a church. For anyone who's ever been there, you can understand what I mean.

With a family as big as mine, someone will be offended, or otherwise mad at something... I've finally have let the "pleasing everyone" idea alone. I'm just worried about my fiance being happy over the choices I have made. The best part is he's coming up this weekend for the Bridal Expo... this is the big one, and I can't wait. It will be refreshing to be able to go over this stuff with him here!

Well, my maid and matron of honor both stayed with me this weekend (we had a BLAST) and...drumroll please...we found my dress on Saturday! http://www.davidsbridal.com/bridal_g...&prodgroup=127 I didn't want to take the dress off! I started crying as soon as I tried it on; that's how I knew it was The One. We bought it right away (veil, too!).
If anyone's interested, I can post an actual picture of me in the dress (veil and all)
.
