Yay!

I received the news that New Zealand won the bid to host the Rugby World Cup in 2011!!! Woohoo!

I know that some people don't care cos they don't have rugby mania in their countries but to NZ it is a VERY big deal!! It will also generate millions of dollars into our local economy!

Good on New Zealand!!!

Its a great place - I really liked it when I went there! And would really like to go back sometime!!!!

Does rugby attract hooligans? Germany is hosting next year's soccer/football World Cup, and residents of the cities where the games will be held are already dreading it.

Well, in Australia it doesn't seem to attract as many hooligans as soccer does in the european countries.

I think the same goes for NZ.

Unfortunately I think the Northern Hemisphereans get a little too nutty over their sport!! We are just a little bit more laid back about it here in the Southern Countries!!

I don't think we really have rugby hooligans, we just love the sport so much and it generates a lot of spirit! We are pretty laidback.

I don't know who are worse - the European or the Latin American football hooligans. I've already said I won't teach any evening classes during the games - I had quite enough of those the last Germany played host.

Oh and not to forget - "The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe" coming out shortly. I think its directed by the same guy who made Shrek! (he's a kiwi, btw!)
