I am going to my family Thanksgiving dinner at my sister's house.
A little background info....I alienated my family because there was always chaos associated with being around them. I did still talk to 2 of my 6 sisters some, but others I didnt even invite to my daughters wedding in March.
Well, I have in the last 4-6 weeks been talking to them and it appears that that all is a thing of the past, all but one sister, but that's another story.

So this is kind of a special day, and I will most likely meet up with my Mother and Dad whom I havent spoken to in this time.

I want to bring a dessert that will be special or just really GOOD.
Any ideas, recipes, etc.... ??

Fudge!!! Defininately fudge. Fudge is always good for Thanksgiving and Christmas...and everybody loves it!! If you need a recipe, buy some Fluff--there's a delicious recipe for it on the container.

And if not, there's always the classic, but ever-loved homemade chocolate-chip cookie. Or maybe apple pie, cherry pie, pumpkin pie, blueberry pie, whatever you delight. Or...brownies. Apple cake? Just some ideas.
Hope everything goes well at the dinner.

That's what I was going to suggest, too. Decadent, and gorgeous, and real easy to do, too!

Heidi's pecan pie idea sounds perfect. It's quick and easy, and totally YUMMMM.
Nothing better than a good pecan pie. And be sure to use brown sugar instead of white...better consistancy that way. JMO.
