I have been reading post about the thinks cats love to play with and thought it would be fun to see what your cats love to play with That you did not buy for them as a toy.

My cats love Spring door stops! (Which drives me nuts! TWING~~TWING~~TWING) I had to take them off the doors!

JC has this thing for wrapped candies - he loves to grab the "twisty" end, toss them around & carry them in his mouth like caught prey.
And all my cats love a horse-whip that I have laying around. They think it is just the cat's meow of the "fishing-pole" style toys.

Sweetie (one of my cats) has this obsession with my dog's Invisible Fence collar. Whenever I take it off the dog (Sharie) to take her for a walk, Sweetie rolls around on it wildly and flings it around the whole time till we get back. Yes...it is very weird...

Cable likes anything that skitters - ice cubes, plastic lids, etc. Java likes skittery things, too.
Pixel likes soft things i can throw that she can bring back in her mouth. i make her paper towel footballs.
they are all fond of boxes - they love this season, when i get shipments!

Lets see...does everything in my apartment count?


Plastic bags, Q-tips, pens, wrappers, candy bowls, glasses (full or empty), the fish bowl (with the fish in it...), my cell phone, John's glasses...Harley seriously loves everything in sight, I think I've bought him 1 kitty toy and he hardly ever plays with it...

Combs. The key for winding the mantel clock -- kept under the clock, and surprisingly reachable with a determined (pale beige) paw -- but once it has fallen to the carpet, it loses its appeal (thank goodness
). Long shoe laces, neckties, drawstrings on whatever piece of clothing is handy. Yes, the spring doorstops (SPROINNNNNNNNG!)

Lily and Tiger have a facination with, well, how do I put this? A certain unopened feminine product!
They will rip the wrapper to shreds just to get to the string! It's keeps them happy for hours!
