Have you or your husband ever played with her using your fingers or toes, such as wiggling them under the covers for her to pounce? That's a big no-no (even though I am quite guilty of it myself
) You can try redirecting her attention with another toy. That's what worked with Dori. She would attack me, and it was my hands when I was sleeping, so I would toss one of her toys onto the floor and she would play with that instead of my hands. Eventually she just left my hands alone.

Kittens often do this for entertainment. She might be a little bored.

Also try to keep very still when you know shes there (I know if your sleeping that might be a problem!). But any movement is enticing. Eventually your feet might become to boring and she'll find something else to do. I would wrap my feet up in so much blanket that her little claws and teeth couldn't get to them, then when she attacked I wouldn't move them because it didn't hurt and they eventually find this uninteresting.

I have to ask if your husband may, by chance have a sleeping tick or spasam? Some people, when asleep have involuntary ticks. could that be part of the problem. I'm not saying that it is. It just came to mind when reading your post.

tell you husband not to flick his toe inticeingly under the covers. Cats go after little creepy crawlies, your Kitty probably thought it was a mouse and was trying to protect you from it. It's pure animal instinct, your husband needs to adjust

My boyfriend has the same complaint about our cat. However, I point out that Lenny doesn't attack me at night. I attribute this to the fact that I don't play with him by letting him bite my hands and scratch me, which my boyfriend does. Lenny knows I don't like to play that way and doesn't try to play that way with me when I'm asleep. My boyfriend, however, plays that way with him all the time. So, I don't feel sorry for him!

Whenever my cat does do things at night that I don't like, I agree that giving something else to do usually works. He's bored while we're sleeping which is why he wants to play. I just through one of his toys and he goes to play with it for awhile...

Tell him to wear socks to bed. I'm not kidding - Jamie is a toe/foot freak, and kept attacking our toes at night until first I, and then my husband, started wearing socks to bed. Any time my husband forgets, he is reminded by "toe nips".

I wear socks, too. Big thick wool socks. I thought we'd be ok once winter hit and we put the comforter on the bed, but Polly figured out how to get under it. Also keep Belle's claws trimmed.

Kittens = Toe Biting!

They are just too hard to resist for kittens!!! They wiggle!!

I would suggest wearing her out before bed, wearing socks, and saying a firm No every time she does it or a high pitched Ouch to let her know she has hurt you. You may get a few hours less sleep while you teach her but she will get the idea eventually!
