Hi all,

I have 2 kittens that use the same litter. The one has absolutely no problem and it goes out of the box very clean. The other one, sometimes, goes out with his feet a bit dirty and starts scratching on the floor (outside the box) leaving dirty signs on the floor (actually this is how i realised about it and about which of the two has done it by smelling the feet of both).

Does anybody know how i can solve this problem..? i clean their box once per day and i use enough quantity of litter...

I would get two litter boxes - And then I would put an old towel infront of them, so then the "dirty" kitty can rub his paws on the towel and not leave a mess on the floor!

Also, clean his paws off when you see him with a wet towel or tissue and then he'll clean his paws after - This might make him associated cleaning his paws with going to the toilet and hopefully make him a cleaner kitty!

I agree - two boxes and a towel under each. That's what we do and no problems.

I keep an old towel or a cheap throw rug under Blaze's litter box.Not because she does that, but because sometimes in her attempt to cover her poo and pee up, she'll sling some litter outside the box.
