Hello,
we are due to get 3 rescue cats tonight,1 is 11, the other 2 years and the last 7 months. The 11 year old is very nervous.
I just want to ask if theres any thing we should get ready for and what to expect.

Welcome and thanks for taking them in.
Are they from the same family or different? If not, here is some information on introductions http://www.thecatsite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22301
They will no doubt be afraid of their new surroundings. Just put them in a safe and confined space so they can get used to their new home and don't force your attention on them before they are ready. Good luck and post pictures soon if you can!

I am glad to read this post - I was expecting to see pics already
So, tonight is the night! WOOHOO! I know this sounds "way out there" but I make soft purring sounds & mama-kitty-like "mrreows" to new cats & they seem to really find that reassuring. Also, I gently stroke their ears & eyes, not much, but just to show them that I intend to give them the nurturing that a mother cat would give; then I watch their response & take it from there. Bless you for taking in an 11 year-old!! That is so awesome!
