Miko: Before & After Surgery

Backstory


2 months before:


Day after Surgery #1 (Urethrostomy) - 9/29/05:


After Surgery #2 (to reduce inflamation around the bladder) - 9/30/05
They just changed his IV which explains the facial expression:


The afternoon of surgery #3. The medication given to him to make his bladder contract actually made it weaker. His temp dropped and he was placed into an incubator. The surgery was done to stop his bladder from leaking. - 10/02/05


First Day Home: 10/06/05


After his lion cut: 10/10/05


Today: 11/14/05

Good lord... what has happened to that once-magnificent cat...

Maybe you need a new vet or something.

What an incredibly beautiful boy he is - and certainly ravaged by the effects of his many surgeries. I hope that he recovers soon, and is shortly back to his former majesty.

Highly unlikely considering they saved his life and all. Not once, but 4 times.

For those who do know Miko's backstory, he is doing excellent and getting better each day. We are so grateful for your prayers, good vibes and support. Christmas photos of the boys will be posted next month.

OM i hope he is doing alright after all that ordeal, how much longer does he have to ware that? The poor guy. my heart goes out to him... hope he feeld better soon. *HUGS*

He'll have to wear the collar for another 2 weeks. Then he goes back to the vet for another check-up and to have his second set of stitches removed.

Awww...Miko is so sweet. I hope he continues to improve.

Miko... if you ask me little man, I think you were beautiful THEN & NOW!!!
And what makes you even more beautiful in my eyes... is that you are a fighter! A bigger fighter than even some humans are.
